Linn Klimax LP12 build
A large part of being a Linn dealer is our LP12 servicing and upgrading facility. We have fully trained staff who have been servicing this iconic turntable for many years and we regularly have examples in for a simple service or for upgrades. It’s always nice to show you something that is a little bit special when the opportunity arises, and this customer’s turntable is just that.
The Klimax specification LP12 is their flagship model and an existing LP12 owner has chosen to replace his mid-spec model with one of these, securing at the same time one of Linn’s limited edition fluted plinths in black, along with the latest Urika II phono stage to connect to his Linn electronics. Building up this fine turntable properly takes time and can be a little fiddly in places, but it’s very satisfying when you see the finished article.
Remember, if you order a new LP12, all dealers will need to carefully assemble and build up the turntable as each one comes from Linn in Meccano form! No easy ride for us! We have taken some photograph’s in various states of build, showing the Klimax components so you can see the level of detail Linn puts into each item to make the finest LP12 to date.
