A simple set up, but highly effective!

We’ve just received our new demonstration ATC Loudspeaker Technology Ltd SCM50A which needed running in, so we thought we’d give the rack in our third demonstration room a bit of a break and feed them from one of our favourite components: the extremely neat @weissengineering DAC501 MK2.

These components combined provide a full streaming system of incredible ability: the #DAC501 MK2 is a streaming DAC and a Roon Labs Endpoint with a very well implemented analogue volume control, so one pair of balanced cables (we used @cardas_audio here) is all that’s needed to feed the active SCM50A, making a really neat solution that doesn’t compromise on performance.

The DAC501 is small enough to be easily placed in any room, but it could also go inside a piece of furniture if required as it can be fully controlled via a tablet, just leaving the #loudspeakers in view.
