The Burmester 077 is one of the finest preamplifiers available today. With external power supply.
In 2007, for the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the 777 preamplifier, Burmester introduced another preamplifier: the 077. Designed in the elegant tradition of Burmester, the 077 provides exquisite sound and a relaxed listening experience.
The corner stone of the worldwide success of Burmester Audiosysteme was set in 1977 with the launch of the legendary 777 preamplifier. To celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2007 the company introduced another extraordinary preamplifier, the 077. Its self-adjusting phono stage can automatically compensate for any channel imbalances of pickup systems. The result is a more precise and extended soundstage. Additional attractions of this anniversary model are its X-Amp2 amplification stages and its control via the BurLink technology. Its exquisite sound and versatile functionality are an homage to the world-renowned high-end icon 808. Operating the 077 is intuitive and does not distract from a relaxed listening experience. Its visual appearance bespeaks the typical Burmester design language.
The Reference Line housing of the 077 preamplifier impresses immediately with its outstanding manufacturing quality made out of a solid aluminum enclosure. The 077 rests on a special base with carbon fiber damping, which insulates it mechanically from any distortion of its outstanding signal processing capabilities. As an ultimate upgrade, Burmester offers an external power supply for the 077.
In our Berlin manufacture, the cutting-edge electronics of the 077 preamplifier are carefully married to the high-quality aluminum housing. The hand-assembled printed boards, the powerful X-Amp2 amplification stages, the XLR terminals and other hand-selected electronic components are expertly crafted into an audiophile work of art. The process of careful selection and assembly and thorough quality control also apply, of course, to the available optional output modules.
The 077 is one of the finest premplifiers available today.
The foundation stone of the success of Burmester audio systems was laid by the legendary 777 preamplifier, which was developed in 1977. On the occasion of the company’s 30th anniversary, Burmester Audiosysteme 2007 once again offers an exceptional amplifier. Sensational is the self-balancing phono stage, which allows the 077 to equalise channel inequalities of pickup systems and thus to project a perfect virtual sound-stage in the room. Other unbeatable arguments for the Burmester anniversary device are its X-Amp2 amplifier stages and the advanced control via the BurLink technology. The tonal benefits and flexibility of the 077 pays tribute to the iconic 808, the world’s premier preamplifier. Its conclusive operation guarantees a carefree listening pleasure.
Design
The reference line housing of the 077 preamplifier emanates the absolute sovereignty that is inherent in the preamplifier in signal processing. The processing of the massive aluminium housing leaves nothing to be desired and illustrates the high standard of development and vertical integration in design. The 077 preamplifier rests on a special base plate with carbon fibre damping. The resulting mechanical decoupling guarantees absolute insensitivity to interference. The variant of the 077 with external power supply meets the desire for unrestricted perfection.
Handmade
The filigree technology of the 077 preamplifier merges with the excellently processed aluminium housing at the Berlin-based factory. The hand-assembled boards, the powerful X-AMP 2 amplifier stages, the XLR connectors and the other selected components are assembled with great care. Even the optional modules, which are available for the individual assembly, are created in conscientious manual work and are subject to the same rigorous testing process as the preamplifier itself.
