Delivering the level of exceptional performance expected from today’s music fans, this integrated amplifier has the capabilities to drive even the most demanding of loudspeakers.
Customised DAC design is at the forefront of all digital products from Cyrus, and the 40 AMP embodies this approach like never before. Based upon the ESS Sabre ES9039Q2M chipset and HyperStream IV Dual DAC technology, every component has been analysed by Cyrus’ engineering team and the board layout fully optimised to tune the DAC allowing them to achieve the highest possible performance.
Inheriting many design features from the award winning Classic PHONO (previously known as the Phono Signature), the phono stage in the 40 AMP performs at a level way above its class. Featuring low background noise and high dynamic range, the phono stage is a perfect complement for a quality vinyl turntable source.
The wideband power amplifier of the 40 AMP responds from D.C. to beyond 100kHz ensuring ruler flat frequency response and keeping any undesirable phase shifts out of the audio band. With a generous, over-specified power supply the 40 AMP power amplifier is very capable of reproducing the scale and drama of the musical performance.
Even when the 40 AMP is packaged with our latest custom designed switch mode power supply, improvements are always possible. To further enhance the experience and provide the 40 AMP with the best configuration of power, you can easily connect the 40 PSU external power supply to the 40 AMP with a single cable. Providing multiple supplies, all of the output voltages from the 40 PSU are digitally controlled internally, so are extremely stable and virtually noise free.

The 40 AMP is presented in a sleek brushed and black hard anodised aluminium case with a 5” hi-res, full colour TFT display with toughened glass front panel with hidden-until-lit capacitive touch controls.
