Finishing

Three words that best describe
the essence of the Vitus RL-102.

The RL-102 is a fitting addition to our Reference
Series – an indisputably ‘high end’ range of products,
built on our dedication to neutral music reproduction.
Mounted on the front of the unit are columns of three push button
controls, each flanking an LED display – a model of simplicity and
straight-forward common sense.

And yet the RL-102 is actually a monument to versatility. In a
world populated by quite sophisticated digital converters, it offers
authentic, unbeatable features that include actual voltage/power gain
and precision analogue volume control.

We have completely redesigned the main board, PSU and all logic
controls of its predecessor, while bringing a higher resolution to the
volume control, and introducing ‘true balanced’ topology.
With the accent on convenience and functionality, we have
incorporated the option of being able to switch easily between
single-ended and balanced inputs and outputs.

In its programmable menu, the RL-102 provides the listener with
an unusual level of control including sensitivity (gain), voltage offset,
volume range, and display brightness. The inputs can be independently
adjusted for each of these variables.
For example, the user is able to take account of the differences in
voltage output between consumer and professional source components
at different inputs of the preamp, so that they operate within a common
volume range.

Finally, we have designed out the battery power supply and
optimised every aspect for the new, regulated mains supply.
